Portiragnes bike riding.

Time to go back in time. Many many years ago, little 9 year old Gina put on her rollerblades and set off with her friends to Portiragnes Plage.

Myself, my family and some friends all decided to go to Portiragnes-Plage for the day with our bikes and rollerblades, and spend the day having as much fun as we could possible handle without dying.
There's a bike route that goes from the centre town all the way to the beach, a smooth and clean road that is perfect to use your wheels on. (You can also walk down it, but having already done this in 35 degree heat and almost dehydrating 5 times, I wouldn't recommend).

We set off in the early morning, and by lunch time we were all sitting on the beach enjoying the sunshine. The path is so smooth that even a highly un-coordinated girl like myself could manage to get around on rollerblades, without falling over too many times.
It's a really fun day out especially with family and/or friends, you'll often see a lot of other people having the same experience, but it's never too crowded.

If you're having a holiday in or near Portiragnes but you don't have a bike, don't worry about it too much because if you go down to the beach you can rent some, including rollerblades or scooters for the younger kids. If you want to find out more, click HERE!
