Collioure

Collioure is a beautiful little village at one of the most south-western points of France, near the border of Spain and situated on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It was in this village that Picasso, Derain and Matisse lived and painted.
The little bower of bliss is host to some of the most spectacular views you might see; majestic snow-capped mountains, vast expanses of golden sand and aquamarine water. It's no wonder Picasso, Derain and Matisse found such inspiration here!

Being on the coast, there is an abundance of activities to suit all needs; gently sipping wine whilst enjoying the glorious views; any number of water sports; relaxing on the beach; visits to the mountains; wine-tasting; sight-seeing at the chateaux, cathedrals and gorgeous old towns, and much, much more!

If you are looking to book a holiday this summer, perhaps Collioure is the place for you; I know I would most likely move there in a second if I had the chance. The border of Spain is around a 15 minute drive, with Figueras about 30 minutes away, Girona 50 minutes away and Barcelona an hour and a half; you're basically in the best place ever, it's official.
